How we build them
Designed around how you actually use the chair.
An armchair for reading needs deeper armrests than one for conversation. An ottoman that doubles as occasional seating needs a flatter top than one used as a footrest. We start every armchair commission by asking: what do you do in the chair?
Frames are kiln-dried hardwood; seats use the same eight-way hand-tied coil suspension as our sofas, scaled for the shorter span. Upholstery is fully removable on most designs, so a tired linen cover can be replaced ten years later without rebuilding the chair.
