The framework we work under. Each individual commission is also covered by its own signed quotation.
These terms apply to your use of firestaq.pro and to any commission you place with Firestaq Atelier Sdn Bhd ("we", "us"). By using the website or sending us an enquiry you agree to them. We may update them; the version live on the day you sign the quotation governs your project.
Quotations are valid for thirty days from the date of issue. A commission becomes binding when the signed quotation and an initial deposit (typically 50% of the quoted price) have been received. Until then, prices, lead times and material allocations are not held.
Walnut, oak and teak are natural materials. Grain pattern, colour and minor inclusions vary from board to board, and timber may move slightly with humidity. Approved material samples represent the character of the finish; perfect uniformity between samples and the finished piece is not promised.
Significant changes after drawings have been signed off may affect the timeline and the price. We will tell you in writing before any work that adds cost is started.
50% on signature of the quotation; 40% before delivery; 10% on satisfactory installation. Payments are due within fourteen days of the relevant invoice. Late payment may delay delivery and accrue interest at 1.5% per month.
Lead times in the quotation are estimates given in good faith. Risk passes to you on delivery into the room. Installation access — lifts, stairwells, doorways — is your responsibility to confirm before the delivery date.
We warrant our workmanship for two years from delivery. Defects in materials supplied by us are covered for twelve months. Fair wear, damage from sustained moisture, or modifications by third parties are not covered.
Drawings, photographs and design records remain our property. We may photograph finished pieces in situ for our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing before delivery.
Our liability for any single commission is limited to the price paid for that commission. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, nor for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
These terms are governed by Malaysian law. The courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
