A sofa is the longest-living piece in most rooms. The frame matters more than the fabric.

Every Firestaq sofa starts with a kiln-dried hardwood frame, mortise and tenon jointed and screwed and glued in compression. Suspension is eight-way hand-tied coils for the seat, sinuous webbing for the back. Seat foam is dual-density: a firm core surrounded by a softer wrap, then a feather-and-down top layer for the cushion that flattens into use over years rather than weeks.
Upholstery happens in-house. We work with a small group of European mills for linen, velvet and boucle, and keep their swatch books on the studio shelf for you to thumb through. Buttons, piping, contrast welt and cushion shape are all yours to specify.
Walnut frame, brass tipping on the legs, single seat cushion in down-wrapped foam.
U-configuration for the lobby; ten seats; reinforced commercial frame and hard-wearing linen.
Two-seat reading sofa, low arms, narrow seat depth for sitting upright with a book.
A sofa needs a site visit before we quote — the room's proportions and door access drive the brief.
