Hardwood frames, eight-way hand-tied seating, choice of linen, velvet or fine boucle.
Explore the disciplineWe design, joint and finish each piece by hand from a small atelier in Kota Kemuning — walnut frames, brass detailing and linen drawn from suppliers we have worked with for over a decade.
Mass furniture is built for a showroom. Our work is built for a doorway, a wall, a ritual — the kind of detail that only matters to you. We start every commission by spending time in the room the piece will live in, then return to the workshop with measurements, light readings and a clearer sense of how the piece will be used a decade from now.
Every Firestaq piece carries a small brass plate stamped with the client's initials and the year it was finished. A reminder that it was made for someone, not for everyone.

Yes. Many of our pieces start from a client's sketch or an architect's specification. We will review, raise any constructional concerns, and prepare technical drawings before any timber is cut.
Our standard hardwoods are American black walnut, white oak and Burmese teak. Brass detailing is sourced locally, then hand polished or patinated in the atelier. Upholstery uses linen and velvet from a small group of European mills we have worked with for years.
We deliver across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. For international clients we work with a freight forwarder in Port Klang and handle crating in the atelier.
We keep the original drawings and material notes for every commission. Bring the piece back — most repairs are straightforward and chargeable at material cost only.
